Why is VSC processing so slow..anybody in the same shoes waiting for processing from Vermont. There was a time a normal H1 processing was done in 2 months. Now I've heard it is taking upto 8 months...oh god!

No politician can understand the pain of long waiting and unknown state of our immigration status in this EB backlog mess ..they are just worried about their vote bank.....We should not surprise if USCIS don't move dates in June or July VB 2011...Instead of waiting for VBs, we have to do somethings to gain support of GC holders and US citizens of our national origin. All of them need to write letters to support our cause through public campaign with the help of human rights organizations. Also, I would think Indian and Chinese business tycoons like Patel brothers need to lobby for our cause to explore their business opportunities for them from our community. We got to do something massive to continuously highlight in mainstream media.
Please be polite if you have any better idea to share with us..

My wife was enrolled into my employment-insurance only at 7th month (2006), she did not have 'pregnancy' coverage in her previous insurance. She was covered fully (from 7th month, I paid for the scanning, blood test etc, which was a total of around $1500 till then) for my second son.
Other options are expensive, will cost at least 10K-12K if you want to pay out of your pocket.

Mine was filed on May 01, 2006 EB-2 and I am still waiting. I has been close to 9 months now. I also logged in an enquiry 35 days ago, but still no reply. Worried as what to do. Do, I convert to Premium?

I understand the 10-day rule, but when does the clock start?
The date of lease starting or the date of actual move.....ideally these shouldnt be too far apart, but in my case they will be, hence the confusion.

I am kind of curious to know if there is anyone like me in same boat. I got 2 RFE (off course one after another once we answer first one) for my I-140 in year 2008. First RFE I got it regarding ability to pay which we answer in January 2008. I got another RFE in August 2008. Second RFE was kind of mix of ability to pay and education validation. For second RFE they ask for university transcript, all experience letter matching with job description from labor certificate, last year's W2 and company's last year bank statement(year 2007). It was one of the huge list I had seen from USCIS.
Long story short what the hell are they doing with all documents they are asking from us? Its being 3 and half months we have answer 2nd RFE but there is no single response from NSC except they have received the documents and processing has resumed. My I-140 is stuck at NSC from January 2007. How long do I have to wait to get my I-140 approval?:mad:
How do I can contact NSC to know what the hell are they doing with my I-140? Guys share your experience so we all can prevail this another backlog mess.
Please take your Senator or Congressman/Congresswoman help. Though it is not a sure shot, you are better off trying then not trying. Its a simple process, call your Senator and tell them that your application is struck at NSC for more than 2 years. They will take it from there; they will ask you all the documents they need.

What kind of documents/letters/evidence has your current employer included in your application to prove that the two positions are > 50% different? Is there a standard procedure for doing this? Now now, you don't have to be so sarcastic, do you? Our career in America is a purely economic venture. It is beneficial to both us and USA. We get good money working here and US gets skilled labor for its labor starved hi-tech industry. After all US does invite us to work here by giving us work visa, isn't it. Do you think US will be churning out work visas if they can find sufficient US citizens tech workers? So pal, its all business, nothing personal. You don't have to make snide remarks on your motherland in order to justify your stay in US.

Thanks for the reply. Atlast I could talk to my lawyer and the reason given by him is while sending the I485 application for my wife they sent the 1 & 3rd page of the application & missed the 2nd & 4th pages while taking xerox copies. He said he will try to resend it but not not sure whether tehy will accept. He took even 1000$ more from me for fast service.
For his mistake I have to pay the price.

Her H-4 is invalid once your GC is approved. But she will have some grace period to apply for I-485 if priority dates were still current. But since we do not anticipate the dates to move that fast and if she continues to stay for some more time, she will be out of status and subject to bars. Best option is to file for Follow to Join as soon as possible and may be leave the country for some time. Don't rely on this advice completely but consult a good lawyer as the laws keep changing.

I have the similar situation, worrying about not getting receipt before expiration date. I called USCIS, the lady told me that as long as I filed before the expiration day, I'm okay to work. If someone else could call USCIS, get different people answer this question, and confirm this, that will be helpful.

we recently received 1 year EAD. I called USCIS regarding incorrect Validity period. They told me the send the I765 form again along with original EAD for fixing it.
