And the current powerbooks have radeon 7500 so could this mean radeon 9000 in the next editions?

While the 17 inch has enough room for such a beast, unless Apple have come up with new ways to cool their machines, and with their G5 experiments, they should have plenty ready, they won't be able to use something more interesting.
It would be nice to see a really amazing, slick machine with really high end portable graphics hardware but Apple will be conservative.

The "HasShadow property is obsolete" message is harmless. It's there to tell whoever wrote the program that's generating the message to update their code to conform to Apple's guidelines.]
[EDIT: I happen to know that ATY is ATI's internal code for their graphics cards. Perhaps the graphics card in your iBook is dying.
Ok, thanks, but as you know, ATI on Mac are only upgraded by Apple, and in Extensions file , it is a lot of recent ATI Rage plugin, (iBook is ATI Rage M7 AGP (ATY, Bee_B)... It seems not to be one ATI for iBook32Mb...

I just unpacked my 20" iMac last night after work and all I can say is, "OMG, it's big!" You don't really notice it in the store next to all the open space and the other computers, but it's definitely bigger than I expected. But it's SO awesome! Before I even plugged it in, I stuck an extra 1GB of RAM in it and then transferred all my files over from my PowerBook. That's SO slick.
Then I went through all the system updates and played around with some Photoshop and InDesign files and they opened nice and quick and looked gorgeous on the screen.
I also bought an iLugger bag since I'll be using it for DJing on occasion with tomorrow being the first time. I know it's a bit big for that but I wanted to upgrade from my PowerBook and didn't see the need to get a new one until the next major revision. The iMac will tide me over just fine.
It's hard to go back to my now little PowerBook's 15" screen after gazing at the vast amount of real estate on the iMac. Definitely a sweet upgrade.

Hello everyone.
I've been thinking a lot about getting either an iPad 2 or an iPhone 4. Iv'e saved a lot of money, and I really want to spend some of them, on one of these devices, but I just don't know which one to get. So just wanted to hear, if anyone out there had the same problem?
I want the iPad cause want a very portable device, for example on holidays etc. and to do some easy school tasks.
the other way around, I would like to get a new phone, i'm just scared of loosing it on the floor. I've got an old sony ericsson phone, it get's the job done, and that's it, but it's durable.
Anyone with some advice?

Thanks for the side-by-side review. I use LR3, never got around to A3. Once you are used to the interface it works. At least for me.
One tip to make imports go faster is to break the import into chunks, I'm told. If you have 200 images, then pick 50 and start the import, then pick the next 50 and start the import. Supposedly you can start as many parallel import threads as you have cores for best results. I haven't needed to speed up my imports, so it's been a while since I've tried this.
Also, if your A3 and LR3 libraries were on two different HDDs you may have been seeing the difference in HDD speeds and not program processing speed. Just a thought.

Would/Could these chips end up in the single cpu MPs? Do they support Thunderbolt? I am struggling to find any concrete information.
They are Xeon versions of the latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Basically the same as those found in the new iMacs, but with ECC memory support. They won't be used in the Mac Pro - the highest end of these will almost be as powerful as the bottom end of the upcoming LGA 2011 processors.

The only logical thing, should anything get released, would be Final Cut Server.
Other related products are DVD Studio Pro 5, Blu-Ray Drives, Phenomenon (Shake Successor) and Cinema Displays. I do not expect the first three until NAB at the earliest. The Displays maybe at the developers conference.

I bought my iMac in 2008 and I did not upgraded to Leopard or Snow Leopard. Lion will be released soon. Can I wait until Lion is released and then upgrade to Lion or will I be required to upgrade to Leopard prior to upgrading to Lion:confused?:?
