If I understand you correctly, let me explain. Your iPod is a portable device. You can put whatever you want on to it. However, you're not meant to use it as a transfer-device, or get things off of it. It syncs to one iTunes Library at a time, and you can only sync to the iPod, not from the iPod. Or you could close the lid, put the Macbook Air flat on the table.
Simultaneously apply pressure from above on two diagonally opposite corners.
Repeat for the other corners.
Worked for me on the rev C.
Basically you are saying that the case is physically warped and that I should apply torque on the MBA case to fix the warp. That sounds a bit risky. I think I will bring this back.

Hi im getting this error,UIApplication may not respond to '+mainWindow' with my action sheet , but im not really sure why. any help would be greatly appreciated.
How to solve problems like this:
1. Open the class reference doc (UIApplication in this case).

A client of mine spilled a Diet Coke on her unibody white MacBook.
What is a unibody white MacBook? It's either white or an unibody. If it's the white one then the kb is very easy to replace, if it's the unibody one you have to almost completely remove everything to replace the top cover. As for the damage it could be and easy fix or a dead logic board. When the spill happened did you remove power and shut it down immediately?

Dell is putting a little pressure on Gateway with this. A detente with Apple is just a temporary measure.

Is anyone using a bluetooth headset with their 4th Gen iPod Touch? Which models work?
I am looking to use it for some Ustreaming and it would be ideal if I could use the mic from a bluetooth headset to provide the audio.
It seems like most of the questions around the forums are for older generations and was surprised to find very little information on the topic.

A lot of the times if you don't properly drive a high impedance can, a lot of its sound won't be as tight and crisp as it should, so it's not just the volume output. I remember the first time I heard a high quality tube amp on a HD650 in a store, it was the first time it made a song I really know and like have a bass that sounded like an actual kick drum rather than a soft boom boom noise, I was pretty amazed.Yup, I was really surprised when I started using a headphone amp for the first time. Its a powerful difference.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Have you plugged your hd650's into a mbp? How did it sound?

That's sweet! How secure are those latches? I'd be worried about it coming open and dumping the MBP, which would make me cry.
I'm also curious with what you've lined the inside to protect the MBP.
The latches are very secure, i tested it dropping it 3 meters form the stairs. The inside has a lining of small strips of rubber covered with velvet

It has a filling of rubber and velvet so it's very secure, it is made out of 100% wood ((http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zebrawood)) I have also made some of other woods.
As with all kind of woods (and other materials) if you bumb it hard enough it will get scratched.
right now i am making a suitcase from ebony wood with a solid silver apple logo (for personal use ofcours), here are some pictures of one case and the ebony case being build

Hey all,
So the untethered jailbreak for 4.3.1 is out, I updated my iPhone 4, which was a pain in the butt and I screwed up and lost all my jailbreak apps (no big deal since I didn't have very many and I only had free apps, but still, it was a pain), I ended up having to restore a couple of times, yeah, it was messy. What's worse is I have no idea why I did it, ha!
So, is there any good reason to upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1 on my iPad (first gen)? Any features I'm 'missing' here? Seems to me like it's not really adding anything of value. Thoughts?

Now all I want is a way to get the behaviour of the OS9 Finder.
The OSX Finder is seriously flawed.
...and this for everyone who suffers from the silly gaudy childish look of OS X and misses the clean elegance of OS 9 (it not necessarily the extension conflicts and the lousy task-threading).
1) The Classic Platinum Theme (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15581). Installable on OS X using either unsanity.com's ShapeShifter or Duality 4
2) X-Assist (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/10519) or ASM (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/10410) to give you an application switching menu in your menubar.
3) FruitMenu (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12974) to give you back an editable / customizable Apple Menu, to give you a hierarchical menu-view of System Prefs so you don't have to launch the entire %&## System Preferences pane and then reach with your mouse a second time to invoke the specific PrefsPane you want. And to use as a launcher.
4) WindowShade X (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12243), to be able to minimize windows the classic Macintosh way, not like some Windows PC-wannabe. (Will also minimize-in-place to a small icon)
5) PullTab (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18606), to pry that damn Dock's filthy hands off the keystoke combo Command-Tab, thus freeing it up for apps with original rights to it, like FileMaker Pro.

Two choices: you can minimize it practically out of existence by pinning it to the left edge of your screen and then edit com.apple.dock.plist in a text editor, manually changing the tilesize parameter to 1, which will give you a Dock about the size of a pinhead in a place where you won't mouse-over on it very often by accident; or you can nuke it entirely. To nuke it entirely, first copy Dock.app from /System/Library/CoreServices and make that copy a startup item for every user account on your machine (towards the top of the list); then make an AppleScript consisting of tell application "Dock"; quit; end tell, save it as an application, and add that to your startup items (towards the end); then, finally, sudo rm the original Dock.app from within CoreServices. Hickory Dickory, baby :)
